Hinagdanan Cave

Hinagdan Cave is located in Dauis, Panglao Island only a 15 minute drive from Alona beach. The cave was accidentally discovered by the family who owns the land. Over 1400 caves have been recorded on the islands of Panglao and Bohol and Hinagdanan is one of the most popular, espeically on Panglao Island.

To enter the cave you need to go through a very small opening and down a man made staircase. Once inside you will find many stalactites and stalagmites which are commonly found in limestone caves. It is a naturally lit cavern lit by sunlight which filters through the holes in the ceiling. The bottom is a natural limestone lagoon glimmering in the rays of light from above.
